You dont play for OT and sit back and wait and let Ottawa dictate the entire 3rd period. RW is the first tiebreaker Islanders need regulation wins. Islanders need to win both games this weekend or its over. Nobody is losing around them

Agree with you about the third period. Huge failure on there part. Is it the on ice leadership that is most to blame for that pitiful excuse of an effort in the third period, or the HC? Its a failure on the leadership of the team imo. You HAVE TO match the other teams intensity or surpass it & they did not for most of the gane, esp in the third.

Agree that NOTHING less than 4 points in reg this weekend is good enough.

Leaving Bridgeport leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. Sure there are NHL teams with AHL affiliates in canada but they are CANADIAN TEAMS. Not one US based team currently has a AHL based affiliate north of the border. If this move is strictly due to attendance & lack of it in Bridgeport, then i have two points to make.

#1 You put a BETTER product in the ice in Bridgeport & you'd get sell outs. A crap product is what they offered the fans.

#2 They new multi million $ arena in Ontario holds 18k fans hmm. If they team is not substantially better & draws sig less, say 5-6k fans, WHO looks like the fool for making the move? Darsche & ownership.

Listened to postgame interviews & was nauseated to hear barzal say they sat back in the third to get a point & play for OT. THAT'S HOW LOSING TEAMS PLAY & ridiculous for a professional athlete to think that way. Roy once again shows no emotion, no passion or anger for that abysmal third period effort. I HOPE HE IS PLAYING FOR HIS JOB NEXT SEASON IN THIS FINAL 10-15 GAMES. FIRE ROY PLEASE.
