🎥 ISLES REWIND: On Jan. 28, 1986, Denis Potvin scored his 271st NHL goal, surpassing Bobby Orr as the top goal-scoring defenseman in league history.
The former captain of the Islanders notched his 271st-career goal in the Isles' eventual 9-2 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Potvin had passed Orr's mark for points for a defenseman on Dec. 20, 1985. He was the NHL's highest-scoring defenseman at the time of his retirement.
