Just a stupid and annoying game. We were the better team and should have won. Re: Sorokin; the second goal was a complete fluke and the third one was flukey - I would have wanted him to stop the fourth one; he over committed.
It's very frustrating that we lost a game due to an own goal from our blue line and a shot from behind the goal line.
Not getting that penalty call was egregious. If we aren't calling high sticks late in the game then perhaps they could have given us notice about that in the 2020 ECF.
I'm a little harsher on Sorokin from last night; one goal like that is tough enough to overcome, but two? The third goal probably bothers me the most, just hug the post and that doesn't happen and can't happen.
I can't really blame him for the second; he just didn't see the puck and when he finally did it then decided to take a bad bounce as well. The third goal; I don't know how goalies always play that play to be honest. He could be right on the post, but then that impacts his ability to get across. The timing was unfortunate either way; we had really controlled play pretty well to that point.
