Good Morning, Islanders Country.
I know many of you are anxious about tonight.
Some expect things will go one way; others think and hope differently.
Will tonight be the night things start to get back on track, or will it set off panic about the future? Will faith in our leadership be restored, or will cracks in our foundation become increasingly visible?
Right now, I’m undecided. I don’t know what to believe, and I’ll nervously watch and wait for a result. I want to be optimistic but can’t rid myself of pessimistic feelings that things aren’t destined to end the way I want.
But I need everyone to know something. I need everyone to know that whatever happens tonight, whichever way things swing, it will be alright—whether the New York Islanders beat the Pittsburgh Penguins or not.
